HEROIC Cybersecurity (HEROIC.com) is seeking a Senior Unix/Linux Administrator to help securely architect, build, and manage the *nix servers of HEROIC and our clients. We are looking for someone who is ready to make a difference and help us build the future of security-focused IT services.
The Senior Unix/Linux Administrator is a hands-on professional working to manage all aspects of our *nix cloud servers including design, configuration, management, and security. The majority of our servers are located in our data centers along with utilizing cloud services like AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
- Designing, deploying, managing, and support a variety of *nix systems and platforms in an enterprise environment
- All aspects of *nix server administration including database administration, networking, security, backups, etc
- Responding to all *nix related support requests
- Explore and learn the latest cloud server technologies to provide new capabilities and increase efficiency
- Help build and document well-defined processes while continually improving reporting, alert management, process analysis, infrastructure analysis and automation to improve the stability of our systems.
- Cybersecurity auditing including user account management, server updates and patch management
- Coordination with different internal departments including, networking , security, sales and management.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 10+ years of experience with *nix technologies
- Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or equivalent work experience
- Unix/Linux Cybersecurity Management
- Cloud Platform experience (Azure, AWS, Google Cloud, etc)
- Experience securely operating large number of linux servers
- Enterprise Networking & troubleshooting
- Shell Scripting
- Excellent English Communication
