HEROIC Cybersecurity (HEROIC.com) is seeking a Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE) to help securely architect, build and manage the servers of the company and our clients. We are looking for someone who is ready to make a difference and help us build the future of security-focused IT services.
The Senior Systems Engineer must be an expert with Windows and Linux Server technologies and applications including ActiveDirectory, SCCM, HyperV, SQL Server, Office 365, Azure, Enterprise Networking, and more. In this position, you will be responsible for the architecture, management, security, and support of hundreds of servers. This position is “hands-on” and the successful candidate will have the right mix of hands-on experience, strong interpersonal skills, and technical skills.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
- Designing, deploying, and managing a variety of systems and platforms in an enterprise environment
- Collaboratively provide solutions to technical challenges
- Lead various maintenance and innovation-based projects.
- Develop highly repeatable processes and resilient services
- Document processes, procedures, and systems.
- Guide the improvement of both systems and processes and the steps necessary to execute.
- Participate in vulnerability remediation by evaluating discovered vulnerabilities for accuracy, the ability for remediation, and severity. Plans the remediation, updates servers, and resources or contacts resource administrators to notify them of necessary updates.
- Assist with Group Policy design and implementation
- Security Auditing
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Excellent English Communication Skills
- Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or equivalent work experience
- 7+ years of Systems Engineering/DevOps experience
- Expert knowledge and experience with Windows and Linux Servers, Active Directory, SCCM, HyperV, VMWare ESXi, Azure, AWS, Office 365, SQL Server, and more
- MCSE, CCNA, or similar certifications desirable
- Cloud Platforms including Azure and AWS

LOCATION: Remote - Work from wherever you please! Your home, the beach, our offices, etc. Although the majority of this position is remote, You may be required to travel periodically, attend business meetings and conferences or meet with the team in person.
