Senior PHP Laravel Software Developer - Team Lead at HEROIC Cybersecurity

HEROIC Cybersecurity (HEROIC.com) is looking for an experienced Senior PHP Developer with strong skills in Laravel, and/or other PHP Frameworks, to join our growing team. As a Senior Developer and Team Lead, you will be responsible for helping to drive the development of sophisticated SAAS based cybersecurity solutions. 

The right candidate will possess senior level PHP experience with a well-rounded software development background. We expect this position to spend their time in the following manner: 60% coding, 30% team communication, 10% architecting.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

• Ensure that a secure software development lifecycle is followed to develop our SAAS based cybersecurity platforms
• Software project management and coordination with our offshore development team to design, develop and implement our software solutions.
• Take ownership in the development of HEROIC’s software applications, and technical environments.
• Research and evaluate third-party solutions to integrate into the HEROIC platform.
• Assist with all other HEROIC projects and Development needs
• Be a part of the hiring process for  development related personnel.
• Continually be learning and increasing your development capabilities

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Excellent English communication skills
• Bachelor's degree in an engineering or technology related field or equivalent work experience
• 5+ years of PHP experience, with a background in Laravel or other PHP frameworks
• 3+ years of full-stack development experience.
• Expert knowledge and understanding of PHP, Laravel, MySQL, Javascript, API development, etc
• Experience communicating with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience securing software applications or working in the cybersecurity field preferred.

LOCATION: Lehi, Utah. This is a hybrid workplace position with the majority of your work performed from your preferred work location. This position will be in-office for the first couple of months and will slowly transition to primarily remote. You will required to travel periodically, attend business meetings, conferences, and other events in person.
