HEROIC Cybersecurity (HEROIC.com) is looking for an experienced Cassandra Database Administrator to work with our development team to manage the overall performance, stability, and effectiveness of our cloud database systems. We receive thousands of unique datasets every month that need to be properly cleaned, formatted, and inserted into our master database on a daily basis. This position will be in charge of our all database management responsibilities and should have a senior level Cassandra experience.
What you will do:
- Configure and maintain our Cassandra and Spark infrastructure.
- Manage the security and integrity of the databases and the data.
- Confer with technical staff and cross-departmental team members to plan, design, develop, implement, and enhance database applications, scripts, procedures, processes, and metadata.
- Help with processes to quickly import data into the database
- Daily processing of unique datasets to format, clean and load into our databases.
- Keep up-to-date on emerging database architectures, technologies, and methodologies.
- Research and evaluate third-party solutions to integrate into the HEROIC platform.
- Assist with all other HEROIC projects and Development needs
- Continually be learning and increasing your development capabilities
What we are looking for:
- Excellent English communication skills
- Expert in Cassandra Database Administration (Datastax)
- Experience using Apache Spark
- Expert knowledge of Linux/Unix operating system
- Programming experience
- Ability to meet deadlines.
- Ability to work in fast-paced environment, deal with ambiguity, and prioritize multiple projects.
- Experience communicating with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
